In
2019 we WELCOME ALL of Tarrant and neighboring counties as we
gather for, the 38th annual, Tarrant County Pride in Fort
Worth in support of the LGBT+ Community in its continuing
struggle for day to day inclusion, access and equal rights
& protections under the law, throughout the land.
This years’ Pride, “2019 Remember Stonewall 1969” - 50th
Anniversary”, is dedicated to the memory of Marsha P. Johnson,
Sylvia Rivera and all the brave souls who took to the streets
and fought back police brutality, at the time, for equality.
The first Pride was a Riot.
In October, TCGPWA produces the largest LGBT & LGBT
Community attended events; the Pride Parade, Water Garden
Festival and Pride Picnic, in Tarrant County. Throughout Pride
Week, there are also activities and events coordinated by
others.
TCGPWA is the 2nd oldest Pride organization, in the Great
State of Texas. Established in 1981, Tarrant County Gay Pride
Week Association is organized to produce and facilitate a
family friendly, safe environment. “Pride” celebrations and
events are to promote a positive image for the community
regarding LGBT individuals. As well as educate and celebrate
the diversity of the LGBT Community of Tarrant County, its
